    Wow. You say you are a cook?Chef? WHEN do you work? With so many seeds to sow, plants to water etc...

    PS....that Meconopsis prattii is too COOL. I hope you collect seeds (will this bloom this year???)

    :-D Calin I manage with my job,with my family and with all my plants and especially for me is seed germination.
    I grow Meconopsis and other for the first time,I know that Meconopsis likes cold places,definitely will have problem in my island where the summer is very hot

    Well, I tried the blue himalayan poppy, i had many seedlings but i transplanted them too soon (even though in a shady area - no rains, all died!)
    I think it's kinda hard to grow these.
    I also sowed some blue ones in a tray. Will see if any seedlings pop up!

    Sorry to say this... but in Botany Latin is like English in business.
    Without it, you are lost.
    Not everyone in the world knows "common" names which are only common if you know them.
    I can say I speak pretty good English but as I haven't lived in an English speaking country I HAVE NO CLUE about common names.
    These Latin names can be "understood" everywhere in the world. In Romania, in Greece, in China, and so on :)
    They are not even Latin cause most of them are Latinized from real names ...like Jackmanii or Livingstonia...

    HEHEHE... there's nothing like the first sign that the seeds are waking up!
    I only have about 6-7 seedlings of Tweedia caerulea right now.

    Tweedia caerulea or Oxypetalum caeruleum [common name blue flowered milkweed,silkpods, southern star, star flower] it is very beautiful flower.
    I have two plants one year old from seeds :-D
