Is anyone else noticing slower shipping of seed ? Baker Creek order on Dec 27 still haven't shipped. Pinetree order from January 4th shipped today. NE seed and Park Seed still in process from Saturday. Guess it is a sign of the times. With many trying to home garden these days. Good thing I ordered early this year LOL

I haven't noticed anything different here. Everything always arrives late here.

For the first time I ordered from Urban Farmer, a company in Indiana. They shipped the next day, and I received my order within three or four days. I am hoping the germination rate is good. If so, I've found a new supplier!
I usually buy seed locally, but some varieties and vegetables I like just aren't available at our stores.

Clay, I hope the Urban Farmer order is good for you. I haven't started any of the seeds yet, so I can't help on the germination rate.
Let's compare results when we get the seeds up and growing.

Well Bakers Creek finally got back to my email. They showed my ordered processed but no shipping info. They are reshipping less one item they are now out of. But from what I am hearing they were affected by covid.

Baker unable to find that they shipped. So they reshipped. They are having a tough time dealing with their increased volume of orders.

I ordered some rainbow chili seeds, (from a local seller), and they came 2 days earlier then expected. Usually we have 2 options here in my country. Order local product online, which usually takes 5 to 9 working days to deliver (form anywhere to any place within Pakistan) - Or order from China, which takes around 18 to 24 days.

At the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, orders from China were taking anywhere from 48 to 60 days. But everything is back to normal again now.

Time for local orders within the country more or less remained unchanged throughout the COVID-19 situation...

When I'll plant them in a few weeks time, (when spring season will start here) - I hope they will look like these below.

What I am seeing is that more and more people are starting to garden nowadays, (coronavirus pandemic really awakened a lot of people to become self-reliant) - So what I can observe is a more then usual availability of everything related to gardening. Specially all types of seeds suddenly become available online, including some rare stuff.

It now remains to be seen if everything is genuine, or are people just trying to push fake products in order to make a fast buck over here...

I planted the herb seeds from Urban Farmer, and have good, really good germination at about 90%. I'll report back when I get the vegetable seeds in the ground.
