Should we leave sprouting beet roots in a cluster?

Looking at Sjoerd Beets posting trigger this off in my mind.
Beets root is one of my favourite but it is very difficult to get good beet root seeds here.
When I plant beet root from seed, the seedlings normally germinated in a cluster and I have to remove some to leave only one standing. Recently I saw on Youtube that some people just let the whole clump grow basing on the fact that it is natural for them.
Now if I can get some beet root seed should I allow all of them to grow?

I remove the weakest new plants. Sometimes I leave one plant and sometimes I leave two. The important thing for me is to clip the unwanted plantlets with scissors so the remaining roots will not be disturbed.

An added bit of info here is that I did a little test: I planted some beetroot plants in the ground in the lottie and some in germination cells at home. So far the ones at home did and are doing better than the ones planted in the garden.

I am chuffed with this result.
