Everyone,I'm loving all your plantings. For me,creating vignettes with containers is 1 of the most fun aspects of gardening.
okietriker asked if it was a polkadot plant in wooden wheelbarrow. No,it is coleus Picasso. Not really a clear shot of plant.I do grow polka dot plants every year. They won't get this big but they really add interest with their gay colored leaves. I've not grown from seeds. I think they are easy but I just pick up a 6 pack .
She asked about adding manure compost to plants. It should be fine if it is really composted & not "hot".
My new secret additive is rabbit poo.I asked on Craigs list & got several hits.

Not really unusual but kind of cool (I think) :-D I found this basket at the thrift store and fell in love! I walked past it, picked it up, carried it around, sat if back down, walked away and ended up going back the next day :D :D It is big! I think someone had it for wedding favors or something because there is dried glue on top. It was natural color wicker when I bought it (should have done before pics) I liked it because of the size and because of the flat back. I plan to hang it against the white fence and fill it with geraniums!

    another look ( photo / image / picture from Annette's Garden )

i decided this was a good place for my daisies....it is hard to see, but there is a wagon under all that!..last summer i increased the area around it by about 6" and replanted a bunch of bulbs....around it...it is slowly disintergrating..not sure how long it will be there before falling completely apart (the bottom is already gone)

Great find Deanna! I love that it has a flat back... like it was just meant to be on a gardeners fence. Don't forget to show us photos when the Geraniums are all settled in.

Annette... are you sure there's some of that wagon still there? :-D
