Sjoerd, you're always missed when you take a Sabbatical, or whatever you were up to.
I must share that I had a request from a neighbor for some More of my Cherry tomatoes which are actually Grape tomatoes. I parted with all those picked that day, only because she can no longer tend a garden of her own.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. I have just been very busy lately as my Bride had a bad knee, so I have been tending her and doing all the garden work alone. At night I am simply very tired and just go to bed early.
That was very nice of you to share your little toms. I know those folks really enjoyed them.

Sjoerd, I hope your bride is in less pain. I understand the lack of energy once the day is done, but we still miss your posts as they are vivid word art. Also your usual great advice.

Sjoerd, I calls em like I see em.

Today we took out the best tomato patch.
The weather has taken a turn for cooler and
getting gardens cleared in cold isn't my idea of fun.
Washed the green tomatoes, dried and placed them
    in an area to ripen.

Thank you Sjoerd and Growingpains. I believe that I am Sjoerd...the tomatoes are all ripe now and one was cracking so you know that was going quickly. I try to eat two a week, just pluck them off...they are soooo good!!!

For our garden, just about over for 2018.
Only a few tomato plants left and kale. I
like to clear it all up before cold sets in.
Only garlic to set out in early October.

Yeah, it's mostly over here too. All of the work that I am doing are winterizing exercises. It is almost time to begin the planning phase....actually I have already begun that to a small degree.

Sjoerd, my question is, how is your bride? If memory serves me, her leg was healing from an injury, right?

Good news and when gardening time comes around again, she may be ready and able.

Gardens are finished for the season.
Those who garden inside have an advantage!

I only have my peppers inside, mainly to ripen what fruit remains. By Thanksgiving I anticipate a thorough and drastic pruning to put them in a dormant state.
