    Philip,the children's book Charlotte's Web by E.B. White is about a writing spider named Charlotte and her friend Wilbur the pig who she saves from being sold and slaughtered by writing in her web how great he is.

    Hi Toni,
    well done,..that's a very informative link,..you got back to me before i asked you was there such a thing,..i read about the zig zag part of the web it creates,..and nobody can tell as to why it does this,..very interesting,..oh i read the book Charlotte's Web,..and went to see the picture with the children,..lovely story.

    Thankfully,..ladies don't, :rolleyes: ,..but when we were kids my sister used to sleep with her mouth open,..many many strange things were dumped in there, :scheming: .

    Well, no wonder she quit writing to you. :rolleyes: First...she writes like a spider, now, strange things were put in her mouth? :eek: I think I would be very worried about being your sister, also. HEHEHE

    Carolyn & Philip---I agree with you Carolyn! Shame on you Philip!

    But on this topic of spiders and mouths, Eileen has my vote with her 2 cents:
    "Don't worry Philip as each of us swallowing approx. eight spiders a year in our sleep is only an old wives tale. Think about it - surely we'd inhale them instead of swallowing them and, if so, then we'd choke rather than swallow!! Spiders, it seems, are rarely, if ever, suicidal, clumsy or attracted to mammalian orifices."

    Probably the only spider I liked was in Charlotte's Web.
