http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argiope_aurantia Philip, the children's book Charlotte's Web by E.B. White is about a writing spider named Charlotte and her friend Wilbur the pig who she saves from being sold and slaughtered by writing in her web how great he is.
Hi Toni, well done,..that's a very informative link,..you got back to me before i asked you was there such a thing,..i read about the zig zag part of the web it creates,..and nobody can tell as to why it does this,..very interesting,..oh i read the book Charlotte's Web,..and went to see the picture with the children,..lovely story.
You are so funny....of course I don't snore or sleep with my mouth open....ladies don't do that, right? But it will give me something to think about as I close my eyes tonight ! EEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK
Thankfully,..ladies don't, ,..but when we were kids my sister used to sleep with her mouth open,..many many strange things were dumped in there, .
Well, no wonder she quit writing to you. First...she writes like a spider, now, strange things were put in her mouth? I think I would be very worried about being your sister, also. HEHEHE
Carolyn & Philip---I agree with you Carolyn! Shame on you Philip! But on this topic of spiders and mouths, Eileen has my vote with her 2 cents: "Don't worry Philip as each of us swallowing approx. eight spiders a year in our sleep is only an old wives tale. Think about it - surely we'd inhale them instead of swallowing them and, if so, then we'd choke rather than swallow!! Spiders, it seems, are rarely, if ever, suicidal, clumsy or attracted to mammalian orifices."
Thank you Carolyn and Cayuga Morning,..i will rest assured of no uninvited snacks coming my way while i sleep,..i wonder does my sister have nightmares, .
Probably the only spider I liked was in Charlotte's Web. And... why did I click on this topic again???????
It could be you remember the book,or the Film,.."Charlotte's Web",..or perhaps the music. The Music Video----Charlottes Web The Film
