"Stick Em Up" & "Chubby" More Winter

Been really having some fun taking photo's of the birds since the snow started. The Juncos have moved from the trees and the yard to the deck floor easier to find the dropped seeds and not as much snow. Wanted to share a couple cute ones with you all!

Wonderful photos! I do hope that the fluffy one is puffed up from the cold and not from all the seed he's eaten--you might have to put him on a diet!
Our white-crowned sparrows do the same thing. They sit on the brush pile and look like little feather balls.

Your first photograph really made me smile Naturenanni.

Just as an aside I had to rescue a blackbird this morning when a big lump of snow slid off a tree right on top of it. Thankfully it was all fresh, soft snow so it was fine and flew of chattering in annoyance either at me or the indignity of being buried.
Your Junco looks as though his bottom half has been dipped in snow. ;)

I enjoy seeing the close ups and am really appreciating how finely and perfectly birds are made. What amazing little creatutes they are. These two pictures are especially clever looking.
