Texas Native

    Central Texas, zone 8
    In the front flower bed we have a Texas native, salvia greggii. It comes in white, red, raspberry, and once I saw a blue one. It blooms all season, and benefits from a hard pruning in January. Native plants do much better than the usual flowers, and they require less maintenance!

    It sounds like a gardener’s dream…and the specimen that you are showing is pretty.
