The ducklings are growing so fast...

    It's interesting to watch the little ducklings swim and forage for food in the water. The Mallard parents take very good care of them...

    Before you know it they'll be out in the big world on their own and, maybe, next year bringing babies of their own for you to photograph.

    Sad to say I think the neighbors dog got the Mother duck....the 7 ducklings are swimming around calling their Mother....I hope they are old enough to make it on their own with no one to show them what to do. They are not even flying yet. I saw them this morning in the windy rough water and they seemed to be doing OK...all were staying close to one another and I counted 7 of them yet.
