GOOD MORNING ALL!!!!! In case you do not recognize the symptoms...it is COLD and RAINING here. 42 deg, only 4/10ths of an inch in the rain gauge, I was hoping for a lot more but that is 4/10ths more than my yard has gotten in almost 5 months...maybe it is not finished with us yet but I have a feeling this is as good as it gets for a while longer, nothing in the forecast until next Thursday. Temp yesterday was 91.

Oh I love this weather, cold, rainy, icy, snowy, any one individually or all at once. I live with hot and dry weather 90% of the year heat which I can not tolerate mentally or physically.
So this is a wonderful break for me.

toni it must be living with constant heat but my body can't stand either...Raynauds come winter and SCLE of the skin come summer, so i'm more in than out and need shade.

Congrats Toni, I'm glad you got some cool weather and rain!
Currently just 2°C and clear. There was some patchy frost this morning.
I must have worked too hard yesterday ... almost every inch of my body is sore today! But there is still lots to do ... today hubby wants to put together my raised beds and move firewood. I also have laundry to do, floors to mop, garlic to plant and onions to dig out. Good thing it is a long weekend!
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all, and Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadians here! It's currently 7°C and clear, with a strong north west wind.
I managed to get the garlic planted, onions dug out, laundry done, and the raised beds put together yesterday. That leaves mopping, firewood, and now raised beds to fill. I'm going over to the neighbors manure pile for a good part of the filler, and I'd like to get the 6 raised beds mostly filled before winter.
It's a beautiful day, so I'll work at an easy pace not to hurt my back.
Have a great day all :)

Happy Wednesday morning all. Currently 8°C and overcast. The sky is starting to grumble and there is rain in the forecast.
Off to work, hopefully I can get a little something done before the rain hits. When it starts to rain, I'm going to get a bunch of running around done.
Have a great day all :)

This is a good day! I went into town and got chicken feed at the feed store, and left the guys that work there, who are so helpful, a plate of pecan crusted brownies. It's very windy, so I can't do much outside except commiserate with the kittens. I'm making pot roast for dinner, and enjoying having my dear husband inside to visit with. He's been working hard at final arranging of the workshop, and hanging bits and pieces in the barn.

Well i did my usual this morning some cleaning  and when it went dry at dinner and the sun came out, i headed outside and swept the leaves up and mainly sat in hubbies shed enjoying the day until evening meal.

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 5°C and overcast with winds. It sounded horrible outside from my cozy spot in bed!
I'm grumpy today. There, I've said it. Guess I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Does that ever happen to anyone else?
I feel sorry for my work mates haha
Have a great day all :)

Oh, goody goody, the peas and lettuces are up, the chicken coop is cleaned and the cleanings are enriching the compost heap, and I have beef stock cooking down on the stove. I love days like this!
Also, the cats are happy on the back porch (inhaling the beef stock aroma) and doing their "cute" act to get attention and maybe a treat or two.

Morning all. I got some plants in the ground this morning. Our temps are ranging between lows of 57 and highs of 80 so my attitude towards daily life has done a 180 degree turnaround. After 5 months of early morning temps of 85+ and going up to around 100 by early afternoon, I got up on the wrong side of the bed EVERY morning.. During those months my yard got a average of 1 inch of rain a month.
