Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 2°C and raining.
So I bought a car yesterday! A little more than I wanted to spend and pickings are slim. But its perfect, has everything I wanted and more. I should have it in a few days.
Meanwhile, my old car is at the shop for some repairs. Wanted to get it fixed so that it would be easier to sell since my DD doesn't seem to show any interest in driving
(I think she likes being chauffeured)
Puttering around the house today and then off to the rink tonight.
Have a great day all :)

Netty, congratulations on finding your new car! May you have many happy miles in it.
I went into town today to my two favorite shops--the feed store and the grocery store. I dropped off a platter of baked goodies at each just to thank them for another year of good and cheerful service. No one grumbled.
This afternoon I'll do some kitchen clean-up, prepare a platter for the veterinary, and then take a nap. Going into town always saps me!

Congratulations @Netty! May it serve you well!

I have been reading our national covid rules and regulations and I'm more confused now than I was before I started reading. What I did find out is that our Christmas guest who is fully vaccinated and carrying an EU-approved covid-pass won't have to quarantine for ten days as long as her entry covid-test taken at the airport is negative. Well, that's a blessing! We'll self-quarantine for a few days just in case, and do home tests just to be on the safe side.

We currently have seven deg. C, rain and some gale force wind gusts. No white Christmas for us this year.

Made homemade French onion soup. All natural ingredients no salt sugar for my family. Takes two days and we’ll worth the work peeling two dozen onions…

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 12°C and sunny with strong winds. What a crazy roller coaster the weather has been!
Still haven't gotten my car back from the shop ... apparently they waited until the end of the day and a bolt snapped and so they have to order one.
At least I have a loaner car for the day, because I'm off to sign the final paperwork for my new car!
Have a great day all :)

We had a bit of a downpour this morning, brief but heavy, so no weeding the garlic bed. We had three more tomatoes ripen in the laundry room, and they are in the fridge. BLTs for lunch!
We have a "water event" with low water pressure. This happens occasionally, so we just wait it out. The local provider does its best. Still, I want my shower, not a drizzle!

Good Friday morning all. Currently 2°C and overcast.
The shop wasn't finished with my car yesterday either, so it looks like I'm taking the loaner out for errands and shopping today. I'm now scared they wont be able to get the part before the weekend so I have bumped ahead pickup of my new car to Saturday. I don't want to be driving around in the loaner all weekend - I don't feel safe in small cars.
I have a few gifts left to pick up so hopefully I can do that today.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -7°C and overcast. We had a sloppy day yesterday with lots of snow falling and winds blowing it around. Today is is still.
I did get my car back from the shop Friday just before 5pm and I was elated to give back that loaner! My car is all fixed up and feels almost as good as new ... no to get my daughter driving! I picked up my new car yesterday, had to drive it home in a blizzard. I was very impressed with how it handled in the snow, and I haven't even put my snow tires on yet!
I can't wait to do some running around today!
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Currently -4°C and overcast. We did just have the sun peek through for a few minutes and it was wonderful!
Well, I thought I was done my Christmas shopping until last night when DH dropped a new list on me. UGH I supposed it is a good excuse to drive the new car haha
That's what I'll be doing today, then heading to the rink later on.
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -3°C and sunny.
I'm officially finished my Christmas shopping. Now its time to do some baking!
Still having trouble believing that another year has almost passed ... where does the time GO?
Have a great day all :)
