Thunder is a cutie pie. Dogs seem to shy away from stinky paint even pups. I use a gate to circle my pups place a bed inside with toys and chew toys with cookies. They learn to calm themselves in time and happy to be in the same place with head boss in charge. Now painting around horses well… that’s another story, painting the barn story for another day. Let’s just say… Blue horses are not in fashion.
Good luck on your reorganizing. Always a tough job. :smt023

Good Friday morning all. Currently -3°C and clear.
Today is the day! I can finally start painting the basement! I have a little bit of sanding and priming to do on one wall first. I think I'm also going to try to paint the ceiling tiles as they are over 22 years old and could use freshening up. If it looks bad I'll replace them, but I'm trying not to spend too much on this project. I'm excited to finally get going on this project!
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and cloudy.
I painted the basement yesterday, and what an improvement! I have yet to do the ceiling tiles, but its amazing how much brighter it looks down there. I've ordered 2 shelving units to fit on the short side of the room for my canned goods and the rest of the room will be dedicated to the kids exercise equipment. Once everything is up off the floor I'm going to steam clean the carpet. But first, we are off to the rink until lunch time, and then I'll have a tub of skates to drop off for sharpening.
Have a great day all :)

Wow Netty— that sounds really good own there. I know it must dramatically better. A lick of pain can do wonders. I can almost feel your enthusiasm to get onto that ceiling and carpet. You are an inspiring person.

The skating group is lucky to have you to do all that work. I am still surprised that the skaters do not sharpen the blades themselves.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -14°C and overcast. I slept in today!
We've been for our walk, and now its time for coffee and some screen time. Then it will be on to food prep for the week and a little cleaning. I'm at a stand still with the basement project until my shelving is delivered, so maybe today is the day I start the craft room? Or perhaps some organizing in the garage? I'll decide while I drink my coffee!
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Its a chilly one, -21°C and clear with a wind chill of -27°C. Brrr! I'm holding off a little for my morning dog walk, but it isn't going to get much warmer today. Theres a polar vortex expected to stick around until Thursday, so a cold week ahead.
This morning I'm heading out to pick up the tub of skates that I dropped off on Saturday for sharpening, then home to do some cleaning before heading to the rink tonight.
Have a great day all :)

Netty— holy-moley, those are some cold temps alright ! With such cold tempe, I imagine that the air must be quite dry. I had trouble with little nosebleeds now and then from the dryness, when I lived in Alaska. Is it a prob there?
Anyhow, enjoy your day. Good luck at the rink.

Well, it's "coronation day" here in the USA. I plan to keep the TV news off, not watch the all day long coverage, and hunker in the kitchen and do some therapeutic baking.
It's cold--19 degrees when I got up--so we are staying inside as much as possible. Heat lamps are on in the coop, cat is sacked out on the bed, and we are having hot soup for lunch.
Stay well and stay warm y'all.

Marlin— I get that completely. Oo, warm soup. That sounds nice on a cold day. What kind of soup will you guys have?
    I have to smile.
