Daniel— great story, mate. I am happy for you and the quilts. I know how hard it is to up and get rid of lovely things. Chapeau for your determination.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 22°C and feeling like 27°C at 4:28 am. I'm tired of this heat wave and lost track of how long its been like this. Rain is so desperately needed, and there are grass and forest fires getting closer and closer to home. I see there is a good chance of a thunderstorm today, keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't a violent storm.
My poor flower gardens are suffering horribly, and the only things getting watered anymore are the veggies and the container gardens as I am worried about my well running dry. That seems to be happening more and more around the area. Fingers crossed todays rain helps that too.
Off to work for yes, more watering. The lawns are all dormant now, except the one area that I water to keep green for the weddings. I look forward to Mother Nature helping out with that later today too.
Have a great day all :)

Interesting day today. Our e-mail went down and we couldn't repair it from this end, so my husband contacted the provider. He spoke with a nice lady from India, and understood about every third word she said. It seems that they are having trouble with a server and will send us an e-mail to tell us it is fixed. Gee, if we get an e-mail we can guess that it is fixed!
Other than that, like Netty we are hoping for rain. After the spring monsoon we haven't had much. Tired of hauling water . . .
Hope you all have a good day, and get your e-mails!

    Marlin—What a story. Irritating.
BTW, how is your gardening going this year? Got any pics?
I had to lug water yesterday evening as well. I guess it keeps me in shape.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 22°C and raining. Finally!!
We had a thunderstorm last night, and it rained for just over an hour. I'm not sure when it started raining this morning, but it is a nice gentle rain that will hopefully last a while. It is going to clear up and be a hot day later. Hopefully my flower gardens are able to rebound.
Off to work, where it looks like I'll get a day off of watering!
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 18°C and clear.
Another Thursday grass cutting day ahead. I'm just glad we had some rain and the grass is growing again!
Lots to do for the next 2 days in preparation for this weekends wedding at the resort.
And the countdown is on for the weekend at this point.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 18°C and clear.
The work week is just about done, just one more day to get through. I've got a list the length of my arm of things I'd like to accomplish around the house this weekend. If I get just a quarter of them done I think I'll be happy.
Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 16°C and clear. Looks like a beautiful day ahead.
I slept in today, and now I'm just enjoying a coffee and planning my day. The garden needs to be watered and tomatoes picked, and the peaches need to be processed.
But first my walk with Thunder.
Have a great day all :)

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 20°C and overcast. We had some light rain overnight, and I think we will get some more this morning.
I was a busy girl, getting work done around the yard. Everything on Saturdays list was scratched off and Sundays list is much smaller so theres not too much pressure haha
Have a great day all :)

Good Monday morning all. Its a refreshing 10°C and clear. We had a little bit of rain yesterday, and todays high is only going to reach 24°C so its going to be a perfect day.
I've been awake since 3:45 and done my workout and made my lunch and now I'm having coffee. Soon I'll take the dog out and then head off to work. Hopefully it will be a stress less day.
Have a great day all :)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 15°C and clear. Another perfect day ahead - sunny and a high of 25°C.
I was out in the veggie garden last night looking at everything. I've managed to keep the veggies watered during this drought, but the crops just aren't the same as in other years. Things are small and the beans are tough. The amount of harvest is smaller too. I might plant a few fall crops with hopes to get more crop, but there is still no rain in the forecast for the next week or so. The flower gardens are looking very tough too, with many plants just shriveling up. This has not been a good garden season at all due to the heat and drought. Hard to believe after the wet winter and spring we had.
Off to work, where the watering continues.
Have a great day all :)

Netty— that is very good information to think about and process. Interesting to see if this will be a trend or not. Have a good day further.

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 15°C and overcast. We had an amazing surprise rain storm yesterday! It rained for close to 12 hours, and gave everything a good watering and filled all the rain barrels. I had a new sump pump installed yesterday, thankfully, as the pump was running last night. There is even a small wet spot on the basement floor. I am very happy about it!! This probably means that I'm going to have to start cutting grass again haha
That makes todays work day about trimming the cedar hedges. That will be a nice change from watering.
Have a great day all :)
