The weather has turned hot and humid, [IMG]
as is usual for this area at this time of year.
I've been feeling rather wilted, but the flowers seem to love it. 8)

The plants in the courtyard are growing faster and lusher by the day

Here are some of the plants growing in containers out front:

    Crossandra "Orange Marmalade",
blooming at last, I hope it continues for a good long spell :-D

    Clivia miniata
I know that these flowers won't last for too long,
but I adore them all the same

    Datura metel, double yellow
I know I've shared several photos of these, I just can't help myself
I think they have such a great sculptural quality

    Another Datura
I love the look of these just as they unfurl themselves

    Celosia plumosa
as bright as 4th of July fireworks

And here are some from the backyard beds:

Hibiscus "Eruption" ~ these flowers are just huge,
big enough to cover both hands

    Hedychium "CP Raffle"
this has been driving the hummingbirds wild,
I don't suppose they can smell it, but I can, and it's fabulous!

    Justicia carnea
A plant that I wouldn't ever want to be without

    Tiger Lilies (Lilium lancifolium)
Hubby and I dug one of these from his mom's garden after she passed away
they will always make me think of her. :)

These cobalt planters make this part of my garden seem cooler,
even if it really isn't. ;)

Zuzu, once again you show us pictures of gorgeous lush beauty. I'm right there drooling with Eileen and I would be helping her drag those pots to my truck not hers. :D

Aww, shucks. [IMG] Thanks y'all, I'm glad you like.
Hubby gave me the biggest blue vessel a few years ago, as an anniversary gift, [IMG]
so I'd put up a good fight over that one. [IMG]

    We just had another anniversary . . . [IMG] . . . 30 years!

Luscious, as always ZZP. Love that hibiscus, does it set seed by chance, hint, hint. Cobalt is my favorite color for planters so you know I love yours. I drool everytime I go to Louisiana Nursery, they have planters big enough to plant me and the blue are always the prettiest.

Sharon ~ I'll keep an eye on 'Eruption' for seeds,
I don't recall if it set any in previous years :?
I'll try to root a cutting or 2 later in the season, ;) just in case.
