Theo, I am assuming you started the papaver from seed. Is the germination difficult or just poor. I have tried to grow these and have not had any success with them. Is there a secret?

planting the seeds in January or February ,,within a small pot I put charcoal in the bottom chopped and after I put peat dust and spreads the seeds [were not covered with dust]sprinkle with purified water and cover the pot with a bag...

Wow. nice blooms. I also love Alstroemeria. But I couldn't find any around here :(

I also love waterlilies. Had two in big tubs, but left them outside to freeze ( I was told to do so...) and I am waiting to see if it was OK or not...
