The Three Miss Margarets and The Ladies of Garrison Gardens by Louise Shaffer. I had never read of any of her books but you know how sometimes when you are wandering through a book store one or more covers catch your attention? Kind of like buying plants, we all know how that works. I read them in reverse order having found the second one first so I recommend they be read in order, makes the story a little easier to follow. It's difficult to give a synopsis for fear of giving away the secret.

Lots of twists and turns until you suddenly realize "Oh NOW THAT makes sense"

For those concerned, there is no violence, sex, nudity, foul language in them (and yes I read them anyway).

The first was published in 2003, the second in 2005 so they might not be easy to find at brick and mortar store, but they are available online.
