The virus is among us

There is a lot of misinformation about the corona virus. We are not gargling with bleach, nor avoiding Corona beer (some things are worth risking) and we have recently had Chinese take-out (delicious and prepared by a third generation in Texas Chinese family).
My husband has taken the "keep six feet away from others" very seriously. He is now wearing an aluminum foil hat. Believe me, folks who see you wearing a foil hat keep at least six feet away, and farther if possible! We haven't stocked up on toilet paper (?) nor canned soups nor are we avoiding large crowds, which are almost impossible to find in our little town.

 

Ha ! The only thing I am doing is the hand sanitizer,,but I do that anyway ! I do not have time to be sick !

 

I was at the grocery store today and being Friday it was super busy. I forced myself to cough and then muttered "Geez I'm still so tired from my trip back from China yesterday" and Bing Bang Holy Smokes the store emptied out before I could blink my eyes.

 

Here we do not have the urge to stock up toilet paper Another kind of virus is making its round here and is making people drunk!!!

 

Amazon report they have the Corona virus.





Order it today and you can have it by Tuesday!

 

Ha ! With enough good old Kentucky whiskey,,I feel pretty safe !

 

I went in the Chemists and asked "What's best to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus?"

"Ammonia cleaner"

"Sorry! I thought you were the pharmacist."

 

Smart move ! You are a winner !

 

I think I may have a touch of that virus !

The last one reminds me of a true story.



Over the years my wife and I have been frequent visitors to Windsor shopping with our daughter, who lives nearby, we were once walking along the road to the left of centre at the top of this photo, when a party of American visitors were coming out of an hotel in that road.









We heard one woman say to another. "Why did they build the castle so close to the shops?"



For any non-UK readers, who are unfamiliar with it, that's just one end of Windsor Castle.

It's actually quite big.

 

Aftert Tom Hanks was reported as contracting the virus, there were fears that John Travolta had it too, but it was a false alarm, he just had Saturday Night Fever.
