These bugs are horrible. Get inside the barn, outbuildings and squeeze in window sliders. You squish them they smell like cyanide an extremely strong Oder. I have learned to spray around windows and doors to keep them away in fall. Worse yet they destroy the hops crops used for making beer . https://extension.oregonstate.edu/news/samurai-wasp-takes-brown-marmorated-stink-bug
We have those stinkers here as well. I can instantly know when I have squashed one whilst tidy-ing-up. I may not see it, but I can smell it.
These guys love to eat my lupins when the are in bloom. and...they like to hitchhike on my laundry from the clothes line. Nothing like a stink bug to ruin freshly dried sheets.
It’s a real catch 22 dealing with those stink bugs. The city hires air spraying/ airplanes and the over spray has hit our property killing more than just bugs. I had one in the house yesterday as it kept flapping around in a lamp shade. They are noisy , scares the dogs they go running because they have learned about the nasty order. They also leave black spots all over everything. I can’t imagine how frustrating it it for them to cling on to clean laundry.
