Tetters, you certainly have an eye for roses! The only one of your new collection that we have had is Fragrant Cloud, and boy, is it fragrant! I'd cut one, bring it in and put it in a bud vase, and it would perfume the room.

They're all in. Thanks for the input Marlingardener, I made sure the extra special fragrant one was in a central position so that the scent would waft :like:

Ah, I don't grow roses, but I might be tempted to grow a couple of the ones you're showing. Eye of the Tiger, and Oranges and Lemon are eye catchers. We have one quite similar to Rachel Louise Moran. It's here because it was in my mother's garden.

Oranges and Lemons is one I already have from last year Droopy, and I ordered another one because it behaved so well. It seems to be a strong grower which hasn't had any sign of blackspot. It is a real eye catcher!
There was a time I wouldn't even consider growing roses because of the thorns and blackspot, but once I started I got hooked.

Ah! Tetters me ole luv. You have fallen under the spell. That tiny prick to the fingers and an involluntary blood sample. The magic of the rose has got you.
I also have made a list, possibly from Cottage Memories. I am sticking to pot grown from now on.

You've gotten some beauties. They don't call them the 'Queen of the garden' for nothing.

    Those are some beautiful roses!
So much so, I did a search on a couple. I was relieved not to find them available in the US. Ha Ha.
    - I don't "need" more roses. We have a lot already.
    - I'm actually downsizing a lot of my garden efforts. I'm not as "able" as I was. I can't take care of everything now any more.
    - Sometimes it bothers me when I see something nice and then I want it. Im not really that acquisitional. Or am I?.
    - I just blew my garden budget ordering some biochar for the new raised beds. It's supposed to last eons, so if I prorate it over the next 20 years, it's cheap! But still...

But them's loverly roses, yes they is. :)

None of us are getting younger Daniel, and it's certainly slowing me down a bit too, it's just that I'm rather bloody minded, and decided to dig these new beds out just to prove I could even if it finishes me off.
Now it's wintertime, I have morphed into a domestic goddess :snicker: and stay in the warm doing a bit of light dusting!

I agree with Tetters, have to space things out a bit more over days or maybe weeks, my back can't take it so well.
Since I fractured my knee 4 years ago can't stoop down so well and stay there to plant plants out like I used to, can't kneel on it that makes it ache more. We all can find a way around things i think, that's how we survived so well, we can adapt.:)
