Snow in Texas!! Yep, snow in Texas.....of course is it not anywhere near me but that's the story of winter down here.
Actually it is in the Panhandle and last I heard about 3 hours ago was that they had 4 inches on the ground and still coming down hard.
Wait, snow can not come down hard, it floats and flutters as light as a butterfly...until there is enough on the ground to cause great cussing and gnashing of teeth among the locals.
Oh to be one of the fussing locals. :(

In the good old days snow was a 50/50 happening however the last 3 years it has been guaranteed to arrive and STAY and be a super big pain.

Or move to New England where we get snow even in a mild winter?

I hope the snow decides to give you a visit Toni!
As a Canadian, I can tell you that snow CAN come down hard. It doesn't always come down light and fluffy!

A snow event for us starts with rain....that freezes when it hits the streets and ground...then the rain freezes and comes down as sleet that freezes again when it its the streets and ground. So under our snow is usually about 1 inch of ice. The funny part is that those of us who are from here know not to get out and drive on it but those who are from regions where they have snow on a regular basis make fun of us who stay home ....then they keep the tow truck companies very busy when they slip and slide in to ditches or each other.

Amarillo got snow--I'm so happy I'm not in Amarillo! We lived in upstate NY for 20+ years, and I have seen, suffered, and shoveled enough to never want to see snow again.
One Easter we had a skiff of snow here in central Texas, and my husband learned I know words he never thought I'd encountered (I was swearing like a sailor, a not-so-nice sailor!).

No snow here yet and hoping I don't have to deal with the "s" word for quite a few more months
