Oreti— Can you tell me the name of those lovely toms up above? Zigs—Great little saucer. I haven’t grown those for a couple of years now. Mine started getting the green collar and I stopped. Do you have that on your San Marzanos? They have performed really well for me in the past though. I hope that you get many more.
Today's crop. The ugly tomatoes had sunburn. Even so, the flavor is excellent. The nice tomatoes will be another batch of salsa, tomorrow. This weekend I want to pick another batch of pears for the food bank, too. Some of those vegetables went into this air-fry stir-fry. It was very tasty. The kuri squash skin is so tender on cooking, it doesn't need to be peeled.
Daniel— that wonderful harvest looks so good. Hats off to you. I am way jealous of your saucers. They look perfect. …and that meal looks out-of-this-world tasty.
Lovely Daniel Ta Sjoerd No green collars so far. I grew mini Marzanos a few years ago, might see if I can find some seed to try them again next year
Do they actually turn orange when ripened on the tree? I have a lemon that is hanging precariously from a broken branch but I'm leaving it hoping it ripens as the branch is only half way broken...so far.
Nice tatties, Zigs. Their skins look good. Jersey— that is a nice-looking bunch of veg there, you must be well chuffed.
They might turn orange, I'll soon find out Hope your lemon is ok Looking good JD Ta Sjoerd They've been better grown in bins, first lot I grew in the ground here were a disaster, full of wire worms. Had to throw them away
Few more bits and pieces... I've been propagating more plants from the ones that are fruiting now. First Bramley's Seedling apple fell off
Zigs— those little beasts are a real headache. Sorry to hear about those there. The fruit and challis’s look good, don’t they. Well done.
