Hello. this is my first time on the site. I have come across flowers in my back yard and am not sure what they are. here are a few photos of them. they have long stems that go across the ground.
Hmmm, I am wondering if it could be bindweed or some kind of convolvulus? http://www.britannica.com/eb/article-9079225/bindweed I think the flowers are very pretty!
Looks like a Beach Morining Glory to me! Ipomoea imperati is it's formal name. I'm not sure but it looks pretty close!!
It has different leaves than bindweed. The bindweed in my yard also has a pinkish tint to the flowers. The leaves looks almost like grass but I've never seen the flowers like that. Dooley
it cant be the Beach Morning Glory because on the map it shows it grows on the coast of south carolina, but i live in the center of South Carolina. unless a bird dropped it.
No, I guess it wouldn't be a Beach Morning Glory if you don't live near the coast! Hopefully someone else we be able to tell what it is!
It looks like it is in the general family of either...if so then the seeds are poisonous...if you eat them. The flowers look like bindweed, but Dooley's right, the leaves are different....hmmmm.
Ok thank you very much. i will get rid of them now, just as a precaution. and thank you to the person that changed the title of my post.
