Hi David i had similar cameras in the past great for around the garden good all rounders last year i took the plunge to get this Nikon a big learning curve making the jump still lots to learn and a pain having to change lenses but my old cameras let me down at distance and i like a challenge,

Sad news with the blackbird the chicks hatched today and the magpie has eaten them :smt010 i hate Magpies they have lots to answer to with garden birds, on the plus side it looks like the Pigeon is going to nest again but i fear the Magpie will have the chicks as its nesting a few doors down :frustrated:

Its nature i guess, magpies have no predators in built up areas reason they thrive going round killing any chick it seeks out we never see a thrush round here now days blackbirds will be next in years to come, farmers deal with them in the country side even a sparrow hawks got a fight on its hands,

A few visitors in my garden today we have a few sparrows nesting up high in the bird boxes nice to see Mr frog back ive not seen him for a few days.
