    Very interesting, I guess it's one of those things I've never really thought about, but it is nice to know.

    I'd never really thought about it either - nice to know they are 'roosting' safely.

    We find roosting butterflies in our garden shed and in little 'nooks and crannies' in the outside walls of our cottage. I'm glad they find places that are safe to hide away in as I'd certainly hate to think of them getting battered by strong winds and heavy rains.
