    @Cayuga Morning , cool beans!

Today I finished building (threw together) the raised beds, and bought a tone of bagged soil and compost to start filling the beds.
exhausting work, moving 100$ worth for compost and garden soil... I'm going to go back out there in a bit and finish opening and pouring in the bags of soil, and ill probably be short a few bags... also need to finish putting cardboard and mulch over the grass Before it has a chance to grow!
it's starting to LOOK like a proper garden, I think it's going to look really awesome once it's done, and once it's overgrown with veg everywhere :D

Picked lettuce and weeded the beans. I tried to hoe around the tomatoes and peppers but the soil is still too damp. I was simply making clods with weeds attached!
Odif, I think Logan meant "sowed some .... Typo was probably caused by dog licking or cuddling!

My thoughts are with you guys. Also, like you, I need to start the fun peppers. All the basic peppers are in the ground already. I was pinching flowers and starts yesterday and ate a sweet green pepper the size of a plum.

I knew Logan meant sowed. It was a poor taste joke along the lines of "why did the lobster blush? Because it saw the salad dressing.“

Today was house cleaning day so we did a whole bunch of chores at home. One of the things to do in the list was to give the planted toms their first pruning.
First the non-planted-on toms, then the planted-on toms (Roma and Ferline):

I am still astounded at the difference in progress between the two groups of the same tom sorts.
Well, I want those toms to get nice, long stems before I plant them in a couple of weeks.
I pruned-away many of the leaves now, so that they will heal and have a scar before placing them in the soil where Phtophthora spores may be lying dormant.

We also made jam of the last blueberries that we had frozen.

We always have blueberries on our breakfast cereal along with a lot of other fruits. Always freeze them and take some out every couple of days.:)

    Tomatoes are looking good Sjoerd!

We just got back last night from a garden trip. We had a great time.

Today, I was out checking on my veggie plot: peas, lettuce, garlic, onions, bunching onions, & radishes are all up & looking good. Today I planted the potatoes, spinach & swiss chard.

LOGGIE--Those blues are really tasty and there are so many ways to use them.

CAYUGA--Welcome home! Hope you enjoyed your garden trip. Please tell about it. It sounds like your planted veggies behaved themselves while you were gone; although it may make you feel sad when you discovered they could manage without you. hahaha. Sorta like kids that grow up on you, eh.
Good to hear that you planted the spuds, spinach and Swiss chard. The two S's ought to be up soon.
Y'know, you ought to post some piccies of your plots this year. I am interested.
