planted a few more things in the greenhouse, mulched a small portion of a bed for tomatoes with the comfrey, rabbit poop, clover and alfalfa pellets. the tomatoes did not grow well there last year. hopefully this year they will do better.

Harvested some young spinach. Repotted some bok choy and a few peppers. Started a few cells of chives of which half will go to my brother, who has dill planted to share with moi...!

I can't even begin to tell you all how tired i am at times....lol. Between the heat and planting, i'm exhausted by 11 a.m. Yes i said 11 a.m. I go at it pretty early before that heat sets in at 10ish.
I do have a question though..is it too late to plant potatoes? Think i'll drop a couple in a pot and see for myself..hehe.

@carolyn oh no this is a grass snake. It has a disguise that makes it look like a poisonous snake.

Odif, around here the only think that is poisonous is the copperhead snake and I have never seen one except at a nature museum. they look very similar to that except in a brown camouflage pattern. they blend right in with leaves. they have triangular shaped heads. our non poisonous snakes generally have oval shaped heads. here is a great info page on them.

@Logan, great looking rhubarb stalks. My rhubarb has not come up yet. I suspect it has bit the dust (actually mud, we are having a super rainy season). I don't know how in the world I have managed to kill it. I thought rhubarb was indestructible!
