DH Riley, you obviously are not knee deep (or nearly) in snow. No gardening possible here. Now the music, that sounds better!

I sometimes say "I live in the Tropic of Trafford."

We're on the Mersey flood plain. It rarely floods, if the water's high they can sluice it on to one of the six golf courses on either side (not mine). So we're fairly low down and protected by hills on three sides.

I shall increase the map and see how near London is to Manchester.
When I visited the UK, my niece and her family were there as military.
I have forgotten the small town they were stationed in. I believe it began with an H ? From their home. we took the tube/train to Scotland.
We also flew to Ireland. Wonderful experience.

    Nothings "far" in the UK.
London to Manchester is about 200 mls. Under four hours by car.if the traffic isn't bad.,, M40, M6.

Busy day today in the lottie.
Cleared away more clematis vines from racks and arches. The Bride began scrubbing paths. We cut down all the tall bamboo- like canes from our big grass plant. We turned the compost bin contents...lotsa worms !
Removed most of the dead stems from last years’ flowers.
I can feel the stiffness setting- in.
    Tomorrow, more of the same.

DH Riley, in the US, it seems state to state is far, especially when roads may be Icey.
Clay, you must really enjoy HOT peppers. Reminds me of my daddy.

Sjoerd, how good it must be to begin garden prep already. WE would need to remove several inches of snow to even see earth.

Now we're on the same page! I add hot sauce to several dishes.
    Especially soups, omelet, etc.

Yesterday and today I cleaned out my compost bin. After sifting out the "still have a while to go" debris, I bagged up about 6 or 7 bags of that black gold.
Buried in all that I separated out aprox. 50 ugly large white grubs. Yuk. Wish I knew some fishermen who could have used them, but I tossed them into
a plastic bag, tied it up and tossed it into the garbage. In the summer, this bin attracts some resident lizards and I have a feeling they lay eggs in there.

Cuatro-gatos, I usually just toss the grubs into the nearby creek. Are they harmful to garden soil? After all these years, I should know why I toss them.
Odif, what is petsai ? A flower?
Clay, I thought NY had snow! Yet herbs are growing?
South-Eastern Michigan has nothing growing unless it's beneath snow.
