I've done nothing today apart from getting in a bit of music practice.
I taught myself to play this (after a fashion). The tune from the film "Tokyo Joe" I mentioned on another thread.

It'll be wet again tomorrow, but I'll go to the garden centre, as we need a replacement clematis to grow up the first fence panel on the right-hand side of the French windows.
I also want to get some more lavenders, like these we had last year, that got killed off in the freeze. They were actually three plants in one pot, but I may be too early.

Thanks Buddy. That is very kind. My kids call them my "sanity plants". When I come out from checking on everyone, Hubby asks "How are the kids today? Growing fast?".:D

I really enjoyed listening to that DHR. It amazes me how many sounds you can combine - an entire band with an orchestra. You're a talented fella! Thanks for sharing. :)

I have a question about the heather...does it keep it's colour all season? It is such a lovely plant. I looked and can get them as an annual here in the more southern cities. Not in my location. I'll enjoy yours instead.

    Thanks for that.
I don't think they will, we've not had them before, but at the moment there's no sign of them fading.

I have some cool snowy weather for a few days, with highs of 2 and lows of -10...so my plan to grow flowers and have them in the greenhouse during the day for spring has faltered. I had to get a bit creative with some grow light bulbs just to help out my little friends for a few days.

Hubby calls this my red neck grow light. I ran out of lamps but had one extra grow bulb to help the herbs and flowers. I stole the table lamp from the TV room, added an aluminum turkey roaster as a shade, and viola! I have the silliest looking but rather effective ( in a pinch) grow light. :) I think the roses appreciate it.
