Here, too. I collected some seeds in 2022. But the ones I left came up on their own! I had many marigold plants last summer.

Nothing in the garden but I've ordered 9 lillies called Pink perfection, which is really a purple pink.

Nothing today. I was talking to one of the teachers I work with, yesterday. I was talking about how in Washington State they have late arrivals and was wondering why they don't do that here. He told me he lived in Portland and if they had 2 inches of snow everything shut down. Well today was called for snow....I hadn't realized I was back in Washington!

It didn't even stick on the road or sidewalk! Oh well at least we don't have to shovel! I do behind the garage, so I can back out and a path beside the garage to my granddaughter's path from the garage to our side door. Then she does the front porch to the city sidewalk. And we both do the city sidewalk.

It's dry but extremely cold. Got to be up early tomorrow as it's a golf day after the course having been closed for over a week due to being too wet to play. But only 12 holes will be open, but at least it's a game and a bit of exercise.

We have cold winds and the windchills are very cold. Snow arrived in late morning, so we did not stay the full time at the community center (there is a HUGE backlog of donations to work through, and we have been trying to catch up on those), and left early to run errands and head home. It snowed all afternoon but did not begin to lay until dusk. It is to be below 0F by Monday.

I have been watching gardening videos and looking through my seeds and still not decided what to start early indoors yet.

The only things I did outdoors was unload pet feed into the barrels, and tend my pets. Oh, I did run the extension cord to the well house, put a new bulb in the heat lamp, and make sure things were snug for the below zero temps we are expecting.

Here in southern Missouri, they close school for as little as 1/2" of snow.

We had school when I was growing up no matter what the weather did.

Night Owl, Epazote is a green Mexican herb. It can't be dried, needs to be fresh. Some Mexican food markets have it, but too far a drive for me. It took a lot of searching to find seeds, and the germination was bad. so I saved seeds from last year's plants. It's a bit like lamb's quarters.

Thank you Daniel yes they will.:stew1: They're not going to be put together, but in separate places, the lillies will be with the pink, white and purple cosmos.
The gladioli will be with a apricot cosmos.

I had a busy day, so did not get any outdoor work done. I hope to get that garlic in the ground tomorrow--the ones I forgot and left in a zipper bag with my seeds. They are growing, so I might as well plant them. It is supposed to be about 50 tomorrow ahead of all that cold.... Sounds like a recipe for storms.

We have near zero/below zero temps moving in over the weekend, so I won't be doing any extra outdoor stuff when that arrives in southern Missouri. We are supposed to get more snow also. I can find lots to do indoors!

If you get storms out of this cold weather, keep warm and safe.

So my neighbor gave me a sweet potato that spouted. Everything I have watched/read shows what to do before they get to this point. Can I cut these off and it will re-sprout? It's way too early for my area!. I had to move it into another room, for its photo shoot, 1705092780507765194758819908535.jpg because my granddaughter is cooking and doesn't want me in the kitchen.
