Thank you Nightowl. :) The blue flowers are a Perennial Geranium.( aka Hardy Geranium or Cranesbill Germanium) They are very kind to me hahaha. They are so hardy, they don't mind being divided, and they are very reliable. I put tomato cages over them when they start to grow in the spring or they do tend to flop over. Sometimes, if I'm lucky and quick to cut them back a bit after flowering, I will get a smaller second flowering late in the fall. They do need a cool winter for dormancy. I think @Sjoerd grows them in his climate also?

Spent the morning out in the garden just keeping things ticking over, tidying up ,deadheading and still unfortunately having to do plenty of watering.

This afternoon we were out and once again passed a house with a really pretty Fuchsia in it's front garden. I had previously spoke to the lady living there and she was more than happy for me to collect cuttings anytime I was passing by. Today as we walked pass she was just getting into her car, I asked her if it would be OK if ,on my return trip later, I took some cuttings and she said ' absolutely go ahead, I probably won't be in but just help yourself ' ...how lovely was that. I now have 12 cuttings busy rooting......I hope:fingerscrossed:

@Oreti I hope your fuschia do well. I don't think I have tried them.

My poor rhubarb looks dead this afternoon. :( :( :(

I did run the sprinkler this afternoon. And DS was showing me how to use his pole saw to trim dead tree limbs. So we got quite a few down this afternoon. There are lots more, but at least I know how to do some of that.

Those geraniums might do good here. I am zone 6b, and we get winter here.

Moved most of the container garden plants to temporary locations, for the start of the siding replacement project. It took some time.

I had to clear the English ivy that had invaded and obliterated a sidewalk by a shed, so I could move plants there. So a much needed cleanup got done as well.

Way to go, Daniel. That darned cleaning-up…it is just never-ending. W are due for some rain, so the weeds will be taking off for another growth spurt.

Mel— You are right, I do grow them.

Oreti Yes isn’t that the best news , after 4 months mowing bumpy pastures 2x’s a day is over. I am glad it worked to keep all the critters away even the deer…. My cowgirl days are over riding a bucking bronco on 4 wheels thruout the pasture. Time to throw a Par-Tay , :smt020all the food and drinks are on me and free cuttings from the garden..:setf_028::smt034:setf_056:

That's the truth! I have lot more of that ahead. There will be more downsizing this fall, areas I'm not using to become easily mowed lawn. Also some areas that are re-wilding themselves to become lawn.

Great to see ya! Hoping you will bring a fresh handful of tomatoes for homemade tomato juice with a touch of hot sauce and a lil something else in your drink if so inclined . :smt041:smt026
