What have you done today in the Garden?

Oops!! ..back on topic turned out too wet ( ) to do anything outside today but did venture out into the greenhouse to check on the younger seedlings. All are looking good.

 

Early this morning I did some normal tidying up: deadheading and weeding. Then picked blueberries, about a half pint was ripe. Picked 4 cuces, my neighbor will get three, she has lots of family living with her. How many cuces can one woman eat?? One a day is all I can handle !!

Then I figured I'd run to the grocery for a couple things and would pick blackberries when I got back. No luck with that since it started raining on the drive home. Still raining so that's probably going to be it for today.

 

Watered front and back lawns a small area. The acid rain is tough on turf a little water from the well with minerals helps , then added slow release pellets of lime to the lawns.

Scared out a deer with my pellet gun no pellets just the noise scares them I caught him eying my hydrangeas, Waited him out while sneaking slowly to the buds on them and then when he made his move toward them.. WHAM popped the pellet gun . The deer jumped a mile and off he went all way out to the road with me firing the gun until it was empty of air.

Trimmed , the UGH wisteria. It wasn’t bad this year nor did it bloom due to the ground squirrels munching on the roots. Grabbed the blower and cleared the pine needles off the driveway and porches. Oh did I mention I got 2 ground squirrels yesterday.

Spot hit a few weeds with a weed product in the garden bed in the north section of the front driveway.

Now if I could only train my pup to pick up the clippings and take them all to the burn pile I would be a millionaire.
