In that area of the world, where there's a German influence in the language, they call Peppers Paprika. They call lemons Citrone, Cucumbers are Gerkins, and it goes on and on. The one thing they call the same as us, in German, is Butter but, they prononce the "u" like "oo". Boo-ta.

Sorry, can help meself, I love languages. :D

This afternoon I continued doing what I was doing this morning but working on the lower patio borders. It got too warm in the end so we sat out enjoying a white chocolate ice cream.....such a hard life at times!!:snicker:

Yes Oreti thank goodness the ground bees are gone. I pulled the nest out with and it was full of bee larvae. It was several layers of hive structured nesting materials. Very interesting. I sprayed it again with bee spray. It desolved the entire nest. Finally… an end to the never ending story.
You are always a buzzy bee pardon the pun… your garden always looks spectacular. What a beautiful surrounding and nice summer day to enjoy a icecream.. yumm.. ok I’m taking a break , time for some icecream…

Anniekay thank you for your language lesson. I had no idea. Just thought a pepper was a pepper. Now I understand there is a big difference.
My DH was a language teacher many years ago as well as taught Neurolinguistics. The study of neural mechanisms in the brain that are responsible for language comprehension, production, & acquisition.
A different way to read body language. So there is an another common interest there too.:headbang:

I broke a bone on the outside of my left foot and my right knee but not together. I did that over many years. Before i broke my wrist recently I've fallen over a few times on my knees and putting my hands out to stop me but only grazed them. Still waiting for the appointment.

Logan I was reading a book about aging . Besides exercise and eating healthy it was stressed to remain diligent to protect yourself from falls as we age. Place extra emphasis on safety in your home and garden. Falling is the number 1 priority to prevent past 65 years. We don’t want to loose our mobility due to a fall.
Older adults who fall experience injuries that lead to mobility limitations. Additionally, up to 60% of older adults who fall do not recover their previous level of mobility. Also this study shows that about half of older adults who fall cannot get up without assistance.

The health industry is going to the dogs both here and in the UK. Stay strong when a time for your appt is set I hope it’s a good turnout.

Nothing much today son came to visit, he was supposed to have visited at the end of May but his hayfever and eyes were too much for him, he has some form of conjunctivitis that makes him impossible to see, he also had to have his tearducts emptied.

Just did some watering and picked some more red currants, still picking them from one bush.

@Pacnorwest reading your post about falling reminded me of that never-ending tv commercial for " Life Alert"

    "Help !! I've fallen and I can't get up !! "

Every time I see that I think: "This is what cell phones are for !!"

My Doc asked me if I fall alot. I told her only for the most inappropriate men !!

Yikes!!! I hope everything goes well, Logan.
I just had an appointment with my rheumatologist. Every time I see him, he tells me not to fall. This time he rephrased it to, "be careful the worst thing that can happen to you is if you fall." I always try to be careful. Sucks getting old.

I have a 4th squash on my butternut plant. And it looks like I also have a delicata on that plant. I've been picking chamomile flowers every day and they're drying. I ended up making 11 small jelly jar size pickled beets, then I diced some to freeze for harvard beets this winter. I packaged them in one cup per bag and my son and I each got a total of 5 or 6 bags. Those went into a gallon freezer bag. I think I might make another batch of blackberry jelly and I know I'll make a batch of strawberry freezer jam.
