Thanks @Pacnorwest ......I knew that my 1st career would come in handy again one day, I was a hairdresser .:smt044

Hubs runs them through the shredder then it gets spread along the far side boundary path that is lined with hedging as you say it's a good fertiliser. I also mix it in with last years bagged leaf mould and will use it as a border mulch this Autumn. Too good to waste isn't it.:like:

Yes still pondering over the Lavender, despite having plenty dotted around elsewhere in the garden I hate the thought of just getting rid of it. I think I will risk chopping it down in size quite a bit and seeing how it reacts next year. It's a real hindrance on that main but fairly narrow pathway.

It's the bloomin acorns collecting that I find a tiresome task :smt009, but I look forward to gathering up the leaves despite it seeming like a never-ending job I even collect them from outside in the lane.....I just keep thinking of the lovely leaf mould next year!!:D

The laundry gets done in the evening so it's ready to hang out first thing before I have breakfast.:)

@Pacnorwest I know you didn't ask me, but I chop and drop my shrub cuttings. I tuck them in under the shrub. It saves me on mulching materials. Plus, I'm a lazy gardener and I don't want to bother hauling them off !! :p:D

I'm still watering my flower beds. I hope to get the remainder of them finished tonight then I have to start on the berry bushes and fruit trees. God knows when it will rain again. :(

Oreti— you have done some serious graft there. Chapeau.
The lavender looks like an Angustifolia type.
