My wife received a bouquet of flowers for her birthday today and one of the 'flowers' was a green thing. Any Ideas?

Lovely bouquet, and happy birthday to your wife! How about contacting the florist who made the bouquet and asking?

Do you know yet what colour the blooms will be? Or are there no buds yet.

More about the 'green ball' dianthus: It was developed by the Dutch breeder Hilverda, located in the Netherlands. Your neck of the woods Sjoerd. :) To answer your questions: color green and that is the bloom!!

Great history, Jerry. Thanks for the bloom info.
I do not know much about Sweet Williams’, and I do not recall ever having seen this one. It really does add something to the bouquet doesn’t it.
