Certain songs shouldn't be listened. As they can stir up some pretty ugly memories. :smt044 It's in Punjabi, not English. But the video will give you a very good idea about what's happening.

Translation: Entire life I stayed as a joker, (just to please you), and so following you everywhere, my life became a circus, (in the most unkind way). :smt013

Some tunes can evoke particular memories.

This reminds of our time in our flat in Shaftesbury Avenue in 1960, when we were both 19.
We were members of Ronnie Scott's first jazz club, which was only about 100 yards away.

Our flat was on the third floor of No, 192. It was a café back then and still is now.

The entrance to the three flats was through the grey door. It was grey back then too.

This is the first floor flat, where Pam, who became our friend lived, she was a nightclub hostess at The Latin Quarter. She let us watch her TV in the evenings if we wanted to, when she was working.

On the next floor was where the bass player Tony Hayes, of the Frazer Hayes Four and his Italian dancer girlfriend lived. (his was a sort of folk group, which was regularly on the radio programme, "Round the Horne"). She was a good "pan thrower." After one row she sent his double bass which he kept on the landing, bouncing down the stairs.
