Tonight it was Thai--coconut-chilli chook with jasmine rice and a side of runner beans.

BTW Gail--that meal of yours looks very tasty, The variation meant for your man looks REALLY good. Is that feta cheese sprinkled over the top?

I'm liking the looks 'o that, Cayu. I think that it was a carnival of flavour...from the noticeable to the subtle. Is this creation yours or the hubs?

    Husband. He's the chef.
Today I just made a stew/soup of chicken, lentils & kale. I'll separate it onto batches & freeze it.

Sj, the dinner you were served at your friends' house sure looked delicious!

We had oven chips tonight, with vegetarian chicken (what it was made up off god knows but it did taste like chicken) in very light batter and mushy peas...we had this because we got back late from being out.

Tonight was make-do night ! Went through the leftovers and made ready meals also known as TV dinners today ! So Hubby had cottage cheese and peaches with crackers which he likes occasionally and I had leftover pinto beans and cornbread !

Tonight Bride's balls with sprouts and spuds with gravy. (Sprout stampot)

Cayu--we freeze in lots of things like soups, spaghetti sauce, chilli. Actually I like that sort of thing as left-over or agfter being frozen for awhile. I find that the flavour deepens after resting like that.
Your TV dinners sound good to me Mart esp. with the pinto beans and cornbread. Lordy--cornbread. That is so good fresh out of the oven with a lick of butter on each bite.

Sure was Sjoerd ! The pinto`s were cooked with some ground beef and picante sauce then added some taco seasoning for a Tex Mex flavor ! Last night it was oven fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and hot biscuits ! Easy one tonight,, Hamburgers ! Oh yes and home made chocolate chip cookies !

Mart, with your further explanation, I can get an even better idea of the flavours. I can barely recall the flavours that you are talking about...but I have sampled them all when I was working and travelling around over there.
    BTW Kazzer--what's chambord?

Oh, to be in Maryland in the winter! My sister-in-law sent a menu from a local restaurant that serves (only two evenings a week) muskrat. The sides sound delicious, also--turnip greens, hominy, and corn bread. All this deliciousness is available for only $14.95 at Dayton's Family Restaurant, but if you want more 'rat, that costs extra.
[IMG] Here is one of the critters. Would you eat that? As Sis said, the operative word is "rat".
