We cleaned out the fridge of odds and ends and made a stir fry with rice and veggies.

Thanks Gail--so its a sort of pressure cooker then. We have never used one of those. It looks interesting.

The phrase "What's for dinner?" is not used by me, as it could be answered with "Whatever you want to cook!" I just keep quiet and wait until I'm called. This can be at any time depending on whether my wife is actually watching the TV in the evening, or asleep in front of it.

The phrase "What do you want for dinner?" was often used by her when we had three kids at home. In those days we had a big chest freezer in the garage.

When asked that question they would say, "Anything that doesn't need one of to go down to the garage and dive into the freezer to get it out!"

    Kids eh?

    It's Thursday, so it's Chinese take-away....well....it's delivered.
We always have the same. It comes from a "proper" Chinese restaurant, not a stand alone take-away.
It's only three items and not much change out of thirty quid, even with the 10% discount off the menu price. So it's just a question of ringing them and asking them to send, "the usual." They know who you are, the phone tells them. So a five second phone call.
A nice Polish girl always delivers it.
