It doesn’t get any more British than that.
    I can almost taste it.

The pudding is a good way of using up leftover bread.

Your dinner looks delicious! I am constantly fascinated by your dishes--the ceramic ones! I need to get me to a good restaurant supply store and get adventuresome!

Mate, that plate is stuffed to the gunnels with delicious-looking food !
You are eating like a king. How was the roughy ? I haven’t seen that for sale at the fish mongers’ in ages.

Thanks, Jane. We like those ceramic plates. We got them in France and wanted more, contacted the place that made them and the line was discontinued. What a shame, we could have done with a size larger.

There are some really nice plate types out there these days, we are due for some new ones one of these days.

It's brilliant and she knows I love it. We have a mid level grocery store chain called Publix that sells it. Here it is coin of the realm or can be used for happy bribery.

Well, that "lowly porcelain plate" was dressed to the nines (or should I say gills) with your meal. Orange roughy, oh my goodness! And the pasta sounds delicious. I'll have to try that.
