This is such a good posting. Smashing pics. So Pac— who’s over the moon in the Great Pacific Northwest then?

Sjoerd thank you for your kind comments.:) You alway make me smile. Admire you garden talents . And so many others with great looking , productive gardens and skills.
Yes it is getting warmer as winter is joyfully leaving my garden leaving way to actually get something done .
It was warm enough for the pond fish to beg for food. Encouraged that they made it thru last winters tantrums. IMG_7478.jpeg

Good to see that fish. How many of those creatures do you have? There is something calming about a fish pond…or just watching fish, like in Gail’s aquarium. Good to know I can make you smile now and then. Smiling is so positive innit.

There is just one or two left. I have to hurry and fix the bamboo knocker or the raccoons will come fishing. Which means I have to dig out the catch basin and clear the muck… rehire the short in the pump cord and well… the bamboo clacker makes a lot of noise … fingers crossed it can be fixed.

These fish disappear here but the culprits are not racoons, it is blue herons. Most folks here span a section of chicken wire over their ponds.

I’ll get a pic for you from last season. Pic showing pond foam floating planter with carex grass…there are planting holes to plant the roots in or place in a pot.

All that looks super, Pac. The floating techniek looks very good. I can certainly see that it is effective. you are showing great plants, birds and an Aku-Akt kead. Jane has one too.

    The first rhododendron flower.

This flower was growing directly out of the forest floor. It is only a couple of inches tall. Never seen anything like it.

Some pretty tulips I planted last fall. Much prettier than I expected. I don’t have very good luck with tulips coming back the next spring. At least the deer didn’t get the blooms when they ran through this area. 32BB6757-1DD7-425C-AF00-B68873CF1838.jpeg
