I wish I could share cuttings of this one. That's also how it came to me. Very rewarding.

Daniel… was it started from a cutting? A very unusual color too!

more amaryllis for the Holidays…from a waxed bulb..they can also be hanged upside down on swags.

Someone at work left a pile of the cuttings on the break table. I don't even know who it was, and that was 15 or more years ago.

    Beautiful Amaryllus!

Mine is being slow. Might need a warmer window.

Yes Pacnorwest, these are so easy to grow from cuttings. I just cut so there are 2 or 3 joints per cutting, poke a bunch of them into fresh potting soil, and treat them like any other plant. They are very easy propagate!

Very nice system you have with propagating that beautiful cactus. It well balances some can get a bit twerky. They are so pretty this time of year . I had a really nice once and very prickly those tiny hairs on them are sharp. One day my collie was chasing the cat and the cactus caught her tail and she flung around and so did the cactus in a million pieces. She was so scared that she just froze couldn’t move… it took hours to clean out all the cactus pieces from her long furry coat. She earned a big cookie for being so patient while sorting out the pieces from her fur coat.

Some amaryllis do seems to have a slow start. But once they get going they never disappoint. Can’t wait to see it!

What an interesting foto show, Cayu. I liked the effect of the bubbles and jellyfish. Of course those last two botanical beauties stole the show though.;)

y’know Cayu— that fellow Botanical Beauty looks like she could be your sister innit.
