Your first lupins are looking terribly good. Your first alliums are not shabby either, mate. I enjoy your pics so much.
Logan very nice pics. Lupines are brilliant . I love the tall stately types. I also grow the ‘Russel strain large 3’-4’ size. They tend to reseed in the garden and pop up in the oddest places. The Giant onion, Allium giganteum, or ornamental onion are one of my favs. Somehow they don’t last long in my garden the gophers eat them over winter. I have dried a lot of them over the years 6”- 8” wide. Place them in the Xmas tree as decorations. Some natural other sprayed colors. Even if I can’t grow them as critter food any more I can admire their beauty dried as tree ornaments.
Thank you Sjoerd and Pacnorwest, the lupins were small plants that i got free with a order for bulbs. One lupin struggles a bit and is later than the others. The alliums are self seeded bulbs, i think that there's a darker coloured one in the pic. Don't have gophers here but sometimes can have trouble with grey squirrels digging in pots.

Pac, it is an annually occurring phenomenon. I have noticed it happen before. I believe there are a number of reasons for this: necessarily spending more time in the garden (this happens to me). Spring is for me a very intensively busy time with long hours and sore muscles. At night I am usually too tired to think and plan responses to postings, or begin a thread myself. After the cleaning and planting, I am ready for a period of maintenance then and can participate more. I do read every day and sometimes make short entries here and there. Of course I answer PM’s. Another reason is that folks get ready for and go on vacations. They usually do not post during these times. A third thing is that when the weather improves, prople go out and do things like eat in restaurants, go to cinema’s, check out events in town. When they are doing these things, they are not posting much. Aside from these factors, life just requires their time and attention. It is a question of priority. Most will be back more regularly when they have done what they feel needs to be done. I will say that there is a certain core of members who are always here and shall always be here, so that when you need to ask questions, post interesting things or to simply just chat with someone you like— there will be someone for you. At least these are my observations. Despereert niet , as we say.
