No I bought the carts. They are so cheap it would cost more to build them. The poinsettias is about 4 years old now.
My little Drumstick Primulas opened despite the cool temps. I'm always happy to see them. The Haskap Berry flowers opened. They are earlier than a raspberry, and supposed to have blossoms tolerant of freezing. We shall see after the chill last night.
May flowers are here!! I have a few more popping up, my daffodil flowers finally died and now my bleeding hearts are taking its place. My Iris is growing thick and beautifully and I'm excited to see their flowers soon. My tulips are also dying off as well But my chives have flower buds, so exciting! I also have a random pansy in my garden, not sure where it came from but I have a feeling it was from a few years ago when I had them in and the seed just germinated *shrug* I'm excited to start planting new herbs soon! I hopefully get to see what is at the plant sale this weekend (i have to work in the library... sad) but once that passes I'll go to a local nursery and get some stuff. I just hope things clear up for me to dig up some of my asiatic lilies, and colombine to donate to the plant sale.
It's bearded iris season here. Last year, I dug these rhizomes out of a thistle- and grass- infested flower bed, cleaned them up, and planted in a new location. Contrary to irisarian advice, I mulched with arborist chips to slow down weeds and disease. They are doing very well now. I'm happy that any are blooming. There are about 30 flower stalks now, which is a real treat for me.
@Daniel W omg your Iris' are beautiful! I have a purple bearded iris, it's not quite ready to bloom yet but it will in a few weeks I think. so stunning! <3 This is mine from last year (the pictures are large but not overbaring): Spoiler
