@Anniekay thank you for the lovely comment. So many plants in my garden are considered mature … much like myself. The tree peony’s pictured are well over 30 years old. I’ve read they live forever somewhere, to replace these tree peony’s it would be a small fortune by today’s standards.
Are you pleased with the Tithonia @Anniekay View attachment 37737
@Zigs I love the Tithonias !!.Orange, ya know !!.
@Zigs I love the Tithonias !!.Orange, ya know !!.
Did your seeds germinate and grow well Annie? I sowed mine a while ago now, and a few germinated, but then one after the other suddenly snuffed it. I have three small plants left, and one of those is looking a bit dodgy. I've also got two or three surviving toothache plants. All of those are a bit sadly lacking though - maybe it's the cold winds we're still getting at the moment - dunno

They were very slow putting out roots in the soil but once they got going, they got tall really fast. My toothache plants didn't make it, they all "snuffed it" like you say !! I'm going to try those again next year though.
Hiya Oreti— wonderful pics. I liked that understated Dianthus, the Philadelphus and, that gorgeous Cosmea. Oh mate, you have some wonderful flowering plants there. Chapeau.
Hi @Sjoerd and thank you for your kind response to my garden pics from this morning. Every morning I go on a walk around and more often than not I come across a fresh new bloomer. Exciting and magical season.....that's Springtime for you!!!!
Oreti I am blinded by the light pinks so enchanting and what amazing variety’s of plants shown in your beautiful garden. Some day I would like to take a guided tour of your spectacular vision of plants and knowledge of horticulture displayed so elegantly over the years. You have put a great deal of time & effort and planning to create a Four Seasons garden. Even with knee surgery you have shown everyone that gardening is your Passion.
Lovely @Oreti I didn't even think to plant any until I saw your post about the Tuinbonnen @Sjoerd Ta Tetters doesn't like these
High flying flag iris (iris pseudacorus). Invasive species known all over the world . Not many plants have that reputation. This bad boy has a bad reputation for clogging natural ponds, rivers and lakes all over the world. The wanted poster on this plant is well known by every gardener west of the Mississippi - east too in the US. Country’s like the UK , Netherlands , Norway, Occupied Palestinian Territory, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russian Federation, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Syria, Turkey, Ukraine, and more. So today it’s in a table vase , since it’s been in my itty bitty pond for over 30 years keeping the fish happy. I wanted to give it some kudos & post it today for it’s bloomed faithfully on it’s tall 3-4’ stalks with bright yellow flowers every single year thru the rain, sleet and snow , thru the many fickle weather days May. So CHEERS to this bad boy just this one time.
