Thanks @Oreti… the pups are a handful, keeps me outta trouble. Always a challenge.

Our internet has been off and on the last few days from the ‘Atmospheric River’ that dumped tons of rain.
The sun is just out I see a glimpse of blue sky thru the an opening view of clouds.
Lots of beautiful Autumn color shinning thru as the light streams across the garden vowing to get the attention it deserves.

The autums watch is on various channels around the country. Exciting scenes and interesting weather as fall scenarios development.

Pac—I never tire of seeing your place.
I recognise that leaf— it is the leef of a Cornus.

@Sjoerd yes there is a cornus tree with red leafs - dogwood in the picture. It’s a Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii) tree grown to about 60’ in my garden. They prefer afternoon shade in hot summers. Once established they are drought resistant. There are three in my garden and they sport glorious bright pink bracts in spring before leafing out and bright red fall leaves and a huge amount of red seeds in early winter birds adore.
What more could any gardener ask of a tree.

Thanks Sj I have collected a lot of great stuff over the years in the garden. And lost a lot too.

Pic from kitchen window - dwarf acer lace leaf. It’s pouring cats and dogs like @Daniel W pic. And cold it’s easier to snap pics from the windows.

The hummers are busily popping back and forth at the feeders today.
