In such strong winds, it is best to stay inside. And in so doing avoid coming into contact with any flying debris. Because that's a real hazard in such conditions - There is absolutely nothing outside which is worth risking injury, (unless you're trying to bring a confused or stubborn pet indoors with you). Therefore I'm glad you're inside now.

Thick cloud and gusty winds from the south south west temp 13c feels like 10c.
I don't like doing anything outside with the gusty winds at the moment, it's bad enough trying to do the walks in it.
@Oreti good that you went indoors.

Oh @S-H I'm an outdoorsy person really and will even do jobs in the rain.

I didn't go round the back to my nursery area and greenhouse as that can get a bit scary in such strong winds and so can our little east patio area as there are some big Oak trees across the lane from it .However the rest of the garden is pretty safe to remain in although it's a bit of a wind tunnel.

Yes thanks @Logan ,I had just over 5 hours out there altogether today but the earache and headache beat me in the end and I had to come in at 3:30......I'm not really a hat person at the best of time..apart from occasionally in unshaded sunshine, not that a hat would've stayed in place in today's wind anyway.:D

I've just come in from closing up the coldframes and greenhouse and it's considerably calmer out there now thank goodness:like:

Soon we will be in the same boat in summer. Zero rain and extreme hot temps have been predicted again
Thank goodness I have trees planted around to keep the home cool.

Daniel we can grow all types of bananas here and coffee. As a matter of fact we used to plant coffee and pepper large scale here a very long time ago before switching to rubber and oil palm. In case of citrus mainly kalamansi and lime, others are very difficult. Dates nope.
