Last fall, I bought some Astilbe roots on clearance, and planted them according to package directions. So far, it does not seem to have sprouted yet. I supposed it could be a bit early, but do not know for sure when to look for it. I am in zone 6, in the US. I have never grown it before. This one is supposed to be a bright red.

We live in the same zone and according to the recorded Phenology data, you can expect to see Astilbe to flower about the last week of June. The two data points I have are June 25th and June 29th for Astilbe japonica "Deutschland".

Okay, but it has not yet sprouted... just plain ol' dirt so far.

The label just says 1 False Spirea, Astilbe Red. I hope it grows.
