I remember him being interviewed by the BBC in his home, for the documentary they made of him nearly 20 years ago.
They may well now repeat it, if they haven't,"taped over it."

I noticed behind him, he had one of these Wurlitzer "One More Time" vinyl jukeboxes in the room.
At the time, I was quite envious.

They were an 80's copy of the huge selling and still popular,1947 Wurlitzer 1015.

Alternator of my car broke. After taking it off did I realize that it was bolted on incorrectly, (from when I didn't even own this car).

But as with everything else, I had bought a spare, just in case. So below are the 3. On the left is the one which I'll now repair. And on the right is the spare one.

This is the new mounting bolt and bushes I made today. So that the new one won't vibrate, (because now there won't be any play in the bolt).

I had a 1937 Austin Seven Ruby convertible, in 1958 when I was seventeen.
A few months after I'd bought it, the dynamo got a bit noisy.
The problem was a worn bearing. I was able to walk into a branch of Lucas, "The Prince of Darkness" and buy a replacement for 1/- (5p). I fitted it myself.

Last Thursday our oldest dog Barley started to get the diarrhea, had to keep taking him out and once in the night. Friday Berry had it and then River on Saturday, Berry had been sick on the 2 washable mats in the hallway, i put the 2 in the wash, put some clean ones down only later he did it again. Saturday night we both stayed up with them, i was on the settee and hubby in the chair. I had to keep taking all of them out in the night.
Slowly they're getting over it, River is getting over it, i had to stop giving them their food and they're on dry toast. I've been giving Barley a kaolin pro biotics because it's hit him worse.
So I'm just relaxing to get over without having any sleep, at least I'v done a lot of steps over these last few days.

Your pets are indeed very lucky, to have such caring owners as you people.

I had to go pay a bill and while out and about I stopped at Dollar Tree and ran across a huge bargain: very large self-watering pots for, .......*drum roll*

Had a letter from O2 today.
The bad news is that they are switching off 3G, so my "dumb phone" will shortly stop working.
The good news they're giving me free, a new "dumb phone" which would normally cost £79.
I'll just have to change the sim card, it will probably be delivered on Wednesday.

Thank you @Oreti and @Zigs yes they're slowly getting better, dogs lick the grass where other dogs have been and i think that it must have been where they picked it up. Last Friday i was concerned about barley because he went off his food but now he's back to normal.

Yes we're all getting older with more appointments, today hubby had to have another blood test to check his salt levels, trying to get his blood pressure tablets right. He suffers from swollen legs so he has to have tablets for that and restless leg syndrome.

Taking my car in for a service today was a pain as I had to kill more than three hours before it was ready. Apart from the service and its first MOT it cost me twenty quid for a rear windscreen wiper blade replacement, which was OK.
They also got rid of the annoying message on the big dashboard screen that said there were software updates, when there weren't any, every time I checked.

But what a change from last year.
Then it was a spacious showroom, with a nice seating area for you whilst you waited for your car and you could help yourself to free tea or coffee from the machines provided and biscuits too.

Now the showroom area has been halved to accommodate the Chinese makes Omoda and Jaecoo, so there's a big wall nearly dividing the area in half, to enable the Chinese cars to be shown.

There's little space between the few Honda car models on display. Staff desks are positioned quite close together now and the customer seating area is in a pokey little corner.
The coffee and tea machines have gone, but the staff will make you a coffee if you want one.

The atmosphere has changed too, the staff are quite helpful, but I don't think they're happy with the change, but at least they've still got a job. There also seem to be a few new faces.

To kill some time I walked into Stockport town centre. I'd not been in there for thirty years. About then, they started building a massive mostly open shopping mall with parallel paved wide walkways with hundreds of shops. But several now were closed and boarded up. I tried looking for a pub that also did meals. There were none in any surrounding streets that were open, some because they were closed on Mondays, others were permanently closed. It was all rather depressing, but I managed to find a coffee shop that did a few meals. Still, hopefully, I won't have to go back there for a year.
