Not fun being unwell, doesn't matter if it's human or animal. Because in my opinion both qualify as people.

Thank you, i was worried when Barley went off his food, it's unusual for dogs especially golden retrievers so I'm always concerned.

Sometimes, when I have extra time, and provided I'm in or near the industrial area - I occasionally pass through the biggest junkyard in Asia, called Shersha, (you can look it up on YouTube if you like).

So I often visit there, as you never really know what you'll find, (the area is actually larger than most cities in the world). And although in your part of the world "junkyard" means where discarded stuff is, which nobody wants - Here it's exactly like the fantasy planet of Tatooine in the Star Wars universe. And believe it, but here we also have people who are exactly like Jaba The Hutt, (as well as Han Solo wannabes).

So this is actually a dream come true for just about everyone. As you literally can find anything. Just need to be at the right place at the right time, (as tomorrow you might never find that item or that vendor again).

You get parts for every type of car, boat, and even aircraft! As well as smartphones and supercomputers too, (for women there's an entire area the size of several football fields, just for cosmetics and perfumes only, for shoes and clothes there's another area).

Some stuff here is used, and some brand new which is either stolen from elsewhere in the world. Or smuggled. Or bankrupt stock which got imported as scrap to be recycled - It all depends on your luck.

So I often pass from there, as you never know what you'll get. There are open air warehouses which literally are acres upon area wide, each having hundreds of vendors with stalls.

If anyone remembers my shop breaking yard video - Well, all of the stuff of ships (especially from cruise liners) also ends up here).

There's just a few rules. Whatever you get, will be half to a quarter of market value. But once you buy it, and money is exchanged, there will never be any refund or exchange...

So I just got these glass lenses, of very good quality, (at a throwaway price). Which I'll now use to make some security lights. The type which will result in lasting eye damage for the first few hundred feet, (if anyone will actually be stupid enough to look straight into the beam)!

I already had ultra powerful LEDs, also bought from here few years ago, which were taken out from a ship's search light, (which could easily light up clouds). But I never had the lenses for those, as plastic lenses would first turn yellow, after which get deformed from heat - But now I have everything I need!

Zigs and S-H. Both spot on. IDK how much you put yourselves in danger over there by posting these words, but over here I can thankfully still feel free to scream it from my rooftop

@S-H we call that a Flea Market. Vendors selling new and used goods and all gathered together in one spot to attract lots of buyers.

Only difference is, that in this Flea Market you'll get over a million vendors in one area at least, which is around the size of maybe a quarter of Manhattan island. Open 6 days a week, from sunrise to well beyond midnight. :smt005

    My replacement phone has arrived!
But I need a different sim card for it. So I've been on to O2.
Well I say on to them, but for much the time I was talking to a computer. I got sick of the repeated questions. It was only through constantly pressing the hash key that I got through to someone.
Of course, it was someone "working from home in the foothills of the Himalayas," but they did their best for me, though I did wonder why the asked me if I wanted to keep the same mobile number!

Anyway, they're sending one. I took the battery out of the one I'm presently using, so I could power up the new one and copy all the contact numbers, that was a pain. The new phone is now on charge, the sim should arrive tomorrow or Thursday.

Had another phone call from British Gas in response to my letters of complaint.
Why can't they send a written response? It's common, "communication etiquette."

As it is, I've paid three £60, excesses for the four visits, the fourth determined the cause was the radiators need flushing, but it needed me to get the last guy to check the filter.
Anyway, the lady at the other end wanted to read me out all the engineers reports, but I politely suggested,

"I know you're supposed to read them all to me, but just cut to the chase, how much are you refunding me?"

    "err.. £120.00."

    "Fine! Consider the complaint resolved.

    Thanks for your help."

I actually expected no less, considering, I pay them £200 a month for gas and electricity, £19 a month for boiler care and I'll be paying them another £700 plus, at the end of the month for the power flush of the radiators.
Concerned about that, as we've unmarked pale beige carpets throughout. I've been assured they won't make a mess. But I'll make sure I've got plenty of detergent on hand for our "push-pull" Vax carpet cleaner, just in case.

Going to build a new security system! Which will best be described as pure evil, (now that I have the glass lenses). A bit of research to do, (as I'm looking for information where flickering lights induce epilepsy in people), so let's see what I might come up with - Got 2 pressure water jet nozzles too. Through which I'm going to shoot conductive water, and run high voltage through it.

I was in HVAC for 35 years. Without knowing the history of your heating system I would be speaking out of turn but there are so many symptoms other than fault with the radiators. Hopefully your service people exhausted all other options before they suggested flushing. Again, I may be sticking my nose where it does not belong, but...U do know how corrupt the industry is ??
