Sherry, have you made any changes to the pictures since you posted them?

The info I am coming up with says that they are really tiny...24px width and height. I don't know if being small will keep them from posting properly.
The pictures that are showing up are 320px Width and 213px Height.

Would moving them around to a different album do that? They are still in Photobucket but I put them in a birds album..If that is the case all of my pictures will be gone because I am moving all of them.

Moving them could very well be the problem if the URL Photobucket assigned to them changed.

You can click on Edit on the post, remove those pictures and repost them from the new location and see if that helps.

Well, I checked and a lot more of mine are missing. No one told me if I move them in Photobucket that they would disappear from here or anywhere. That is a big minus for photobucket because they make it so hard to move them around that I decided to take all of 2007 and put them in another album of its own. I wanted room for all of my new pictures for 2008. Anything you can do so I don't loose any more here?Thank you ...all that work I have done and now this happens...very disappointing..When I finish moving the rest of them, all of mine will be gone.

Yes unfortunately that is a downside of all photo hosting sites, once you upload a photo and post a link to it then it's pretty much set in stone. You should be able to edit your blog entries and such Sherry if you need to update the image links to new ones.

Photobucket DO warn you that moving a picture will break a link.

I only thought it was a link to slideshows...I guess I learned a big lesson here and I have many hours of work to do to finish what I started in my album and come back here and try to redo all my pictures. Posting pictures is the main thing I enjoy doing and I was fixing and cleaning up things in the album so it would be easier to find things. I have pictures in there starting from 2005.Wish me luck.......

I do hope your pics are ok. Be sure to back them up on a disc from time to time.

:( So sorry that you have run into this major inconvenience, Sherry.

I also wish that making simple organizational changes at PB didn't break links,
 but I guess it's just one of those things -
:-? when you move house, you end up with a new address.

Even just changing the name of an album can create havoc.
I've really wanted to re-organize some things in my PB albums,
I would have set parts of my account up quite differently,
if only I knew then what I know now . . . [IMG]

I have found that Webshots doesn't do all of this you are talking about. I have been using webshots for over 5 years now and have never had a problem with it.

I'm glad I came across this thread. This is the first time I've used a photo-hosting site, so I'm having to find my way around both GS and PB. Maybe this could be mentioned in the photo tutorials for GS?

    Thanks, TamTam

I believe PB does inform you of this.

I know PB tells you that links will be broken when you delete a photo you have uploaded there. I have never moved a picture but it would stand to reason that they would tell you of the broken link any time you change the status of a photo you have on their site.
