The news is reporting a serious wildfire in Spain. I do hope Odif is safe. California is still burning, and the vineyards are acting as fire barriers, but the vintners are afraid the smoke is going to affect the taste of the grapes. Oregon and Washington state have fires with loss of buildings and massive evacuations. I sincerely wish all the Stew members are safe, and that there is no loss of life in any of these fires.
As well as people losing their lives and belongings, I always feel desperately sad for the animals who suffer in these wildfires, and angry if the fires have been started through ignorance or deliberate stupidity. The sound of koalas screaming in the bush stays with you permanently, and with current conditions wildfires will continue to be a worsening problem.
